Start the Adventure

"What is your next trip?"

This was the BIG question that kept popping up throughout our Q&A session so we decided to dedicate this post just to answering this question as we are so excited to share we you the plans we have for our next trip.

A world adventure is something that we have dreamed about doing since our first holiday together back in 2014 and it remained something that we continued to talk about through many of our other trips. So with our wedding just 4 months away (eeeeek) we have spent a lot of time talking about what we are going to do next. We have had to consider lots of different options such as moving out, renting, saving for a mortgage as well as our plans to travel.

There will never be a right time to leave everything you know and love behind and explore the world, yet after lots of discussion with each other and both of our parents we have decided to go sooner rather than later. What better time to go than when we are newly married with no responsibilities and nothing to tie us down. So, we are delighted to say that we are going to start our journey at the beginning of January 2018. That will leave us with a couple of months (after the wedding) to save prior to our travels and time to enjoy the first few months of married life at home before continuing our adventure around the eastern side of the world.

We decided to go STA Travel where we got chatting to the best travel advisor (Dan) so that we could piece our plans together and begin to make what has for so long been a dream of ours into a reality. Our itinerary consists of travelling around 10 countries all across Asia and Australia which include:

- Australia

- Indonesia

- Fiji

- New Zealand

- China

- Japan

- India

- Thailand

- Vietnam

- Cambodia

The contrast of the different cultures and lifestyles within these places is what makes them so exciting to us as no 2 places will be the same. This is something that we have intentionally put in place. For us, we intend for this trip to be more than just taking some time out to spend with each other and time to establish ourselves as a married couple. We want to take advantage of all of the things that this world has to offer as we seek opportunities to meet new people and experience with different ways of life through the different traditions and cultures of local people. We want to have our mind blown. Eat interesting food and meet interesting people. We hope to come home and see things differently, not matter what it is our family, country, food, music.
