New Years in the Snow
So before we tell you about one of our favourite trips yet we thought that this would be a perfect opportunity to take advantage of this moment and use it as an introduction to our friends! As we met when we were back at school the friends we made then remain to be our closest friends now. So after around 10 years of friendship we are so lucky to be surrounded by people who have helped and supported us since the beginning of our journey together. Over the years we have got to see our friends meet partners of their own and we love them just as much!
To us, this was one of the best trips we have been on so far. There was just something amazing about spending some time away with our friends beside us. Up until this point we had never been away with a group of friends. We have both been on our own boys/girls holidays but it was defiantly much better to be able to enjoy the company of your friends and partner all in one.
Once the excitement of house party's and going out for new year had died down we were all really keen to do something very different for new year. So back in April we began to plan what we wanted to do as we knew that new year is a busy and very popular time to book things. As lots of us had never been skiing before (and the people who had LOVED it) we decided that a ski trip is what we wanted to do. Our initial thought is that it wouldn't be possible because skiing tends to be SO expensive but after looking around we found that it would be better to go somewhere a little bit cheaper as the majority of us had never even learnt to ski before.
A friend of ours recommended that BANSKO, Bulgaria is the perfect place to learn as it is much quieter than popular ski resorts in the Alps etc and it was SUPER CHEAP! I think the trip worked out around £300 per person which included all of our flights, transfers and ski passes. It was really worth every penny and we are defiantly looking to do another ski trip again for New Year. On that note we will leave you with some of our favourite experiences and pictures of our time in Bulgaria.
