Bucket List
As a couple who love to travel and visit new places it doesn't take us long for the the topic of a bucket list to arise as we chat to friends and meet new people. We love talking to others about their own interests and plans for the future and we often find ourselves saying things like "oh, thats on my bucket list" yet we soon realised that even though we have always loved the idea of having a bucket list, we have never had an actual list of our own.
So last year we decided it was time to combine our ideas and write our very own bucket list of the things that we want to experience together, as a couple. We wanted it to remind ourselves of what is really important and that we have the control to direct our lives towards what really matters to us instead consuming our time with temporary and pointless activities.
I think that the attitude you have towards a bucket list is just as important as the hopes and dreams that you have written down on it. I have always seen bucket lists as being a lot more than a list of goals that you intend to achieve and dreams that you one day wish to fulfil but as a physical resource that constantly encourages you to try new things and discover new places which is without a doubt exactly how we want to live the rest of our lives not just these past few years.
The way we wanted to present our Bucket list was also an important part of writing it as we didn't want it to become a "to do list" on an old notepad or a word document that we would occasionally come across every once in a while. We wanted to create our bucket list in a way that would allow us to consistently remind ourselves of what we want the most and a place where we could document our experiences and leave keepsakes of our journey together. So what we decided to do was to buy a scrapbook. This way we could dedicate each page to a different adventure where we would be able to stick photos and record our memories.
(excuse this poor photograph we are still in the process of collecting our prints.)
So, without further ado, here's our bucket list of our top 50 things to do together.
